The airsoft cylinder is a simple but critical part that is responsible for the air volume created by the internal piston’s action. At the end of the day, the cylinder and piston work together to create the driving force behind all your favorite Airsoft Guns. To simplify, the piston pushes air into the barrel, which makes projectiles fly out of the barrel. Keep in mind that different types of cylinders are designed to different specifications — i.e., ported and non-ported cylinders. Ported cylinders allow you to adjust barrel volume. Also, note that some can hold a larger volume of air than others.
